Upon arrival, go to the front desk at Casa de Avila Hotel & Garden and let the team know you are joining the Peruvian Cooking Experience. The class takes place inside the hotel, in a prepared setting close to the garden and courtyard.
Credit card payment is accepted at the front desk. Guests may also be asked to show a passport copy or identification for registration purposes.
After introductions, the team guides guests to the handwashing area and then to the cooking space. Aprons and chef hats are provided before the session begins.
This part of the experience is also ideal for pre-cooking photos, especially for families, friends and small travel groups who want memories to share after the class.
The instructor explains the selected recipes and guides the group through pre-preparation. Guests chop, peel, mix, season and cook the ingredients with step-by-step support.
You do not need to take notes during the class. Digital recipes are shared after the activity, so you can focus on cooking, asking questions and enjoying the process.
Once the dishes are ready, guests plate and decorate their food for photos. This final moment is part of the experience and helps travelers take home a visual memory of what they cooked.
The class ends with a shared tasting of the dishes prepared during the session. Water and chicha morada are included. Additional drinks, such as beer or wine, may be purchased separately.
